welcome to the danger zone

Rant. Not Even Cancer Related.

Hello bloggity friends.

Before I begin today’s rant, I just want to say that I feel terrible for those people who have been hit by the destruction of Sandy. Particularly those at the coast. I am sorry you had to endure that.

Rant now begins. I just saw a picture of people at a Manhattan Gas Station. It was described as people wanting answers to why they still have no power and no gas. They want to know when they can rebuild their shattered lives. Shattered lives? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? Shattered Lives? You don’t have power or gas to drive your f-ing Audi? I am supposed to feel sorry for you? Have you seen the devastation Sandy wrought on people who actually had their homes and businesses destroyed by the storm? Your life is not shattered. You are inconvenienced. Just as I was when Dunkin’ Donuts in St Clair was closed for two days. It is not the end of the world. Your ipad cannot be charged, and you are without cell service. That is not shattered. People died in this storm – the families of those people are dealing with their lives being shattered. It sucks to be you, but that is all, it sucks. You are not going to be dealing with this for months or years. Stop taking for granted what you are fortunate enough to have 99.9% of the time. And when you do get your wireless back, how about you check out the pictures from Haiti and Cuba? Those people actually had their lives shattered. You, whiner, should make use of your vocabulary and choose a better way to describe your situation.

Rant complete.
